कोटला हाउस: रहस्यों का आरंभ


यह एक ऐसे विचित्र और चमत्कारी घर की कहानी है जो भूतिया नहीं बल्कि अत्यंत रहस्यमई है। एक ऐसा घर जिसके भीतर जाने वाले लोग कभी बाहर नहीं आ पाते, वे जीवन भर के लिए उसी घर में कैद हो जाते थे। 


कहते हैं वह घर दो सदियों से भी अधिक पुराना था, जिसका निर्माण 18वीं शताब्दी में ‘आदित्य नारायण कोटला’ ने करवाया था, जिनके नाम पर ही उस घर का नाम ‘ कोटला हाउस ’ पड़ा था। 


अश्वत और नैना इस कहानी के मुख्य किरदार हैं जो उस घर में हमेशा- हमेशा के लिए कैद हो जाते हैं। उस घर के अंदर जाने के बाद उन्हें पता चलता है कि उस घर में भूत नहीं बल्कि कई जीवित मनुष्य कैद थे। लेकिन नैना की मृत्यु तथा अपना आधा जीवन उस घर में गुजारने के बाद, अश्वत उस घर से बाहर निकलने के अथक प्रयत्न करता है जिसके बाद अंत में वह उस मनहूस घर से स्वतंत्र हो जाता है।


केवल अश्वत ही था जो उस घर से बाहर निकल पाया, जो चोदह वर्ष की आयु में उस घर में गया था और कई वर्षों के बाद पूरा एक दाढ़ी मूँछों वाला आदमी बनकर बाहर आया।


यह कहानी तीन भागों में विभाजित है और यह पहला भाग है जिसका नाम है “ कोटला हाउस: रहस्यों का आरंभ। ”

 कक्षा खचाखच बच्चों से भरी हुई थी।‌ नया सत्र प्रारंभ हुए लगभग एक महा बीत चुका था। अश्वत को न दोस्त बनाना पसंद था और न ही उसका पढ़ाई लिखाई में कोई मन था, वह चुपचाप खिड़की के पास बैठा अपनी ही दुनिया में कहीं खोया हुआ था।  अश्वत नौवीं कक्षा में था। कक्षा में सभी बच्चों कि उम्र चौदह-पंद्रह वर्ष के आसपास थी। सर्दी के कारण, लड़कों ने लाल रंग का स्वेटर और उसके नीचे हल्के पीले रंग कि कमीज़ व ग्रे रंग कि पैंट तथा काले जूते पहने हुए थे, जबकि लड़कियों ने सफेद जूते पहने हुए थे और उन्होंने भी लाल रंग का स्वेटर और उसके नीचे हल्के पीले रंग कि कमीज़ पहनी हुई थी। लेकिन लड़कों कि भाँति लड़कियों ने पैंट नहीं बल्कि लाल रंग कि स्कर्ट पहनी हुई थी जिसकी लम्बाई उनके घुटनों के नीचे तक थी।  सभी बच्चे अपनी गुटरगूँ में लगे हुए थे कि अचानक उनके प्रधान अध्यापक कक्षा में प्रकट हुए। उनसे विद्यालय का हर बच्चा डरता था, इसलिए नहीं कि वह बच्चों को मारते ज्यादा थे, बल्कि इसलिए क्योंकि वह भरी क्लास में बेज्जती अच्छी करते थे।  वह लगभग एक वर्ष पूर्व इस विद्यालय में आए थे, इससे पहले वह कहीं और पढ़ाते थे। उन...
